Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Teaching Assistant to join our Year 6 team. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to support the educational and social development of our pupils. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing one-on-one or small group support to pupils, particularly with a child with Autism.
  • Assisting with classroom activities, including planning and preparation.
  • Promoting an inclusive and positive learning environment.
  • Monitoring and assessing pupil progress.
  • Collaborating with teachers and parents to ensure the best possible outcomes for all pupils.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you should meet one of the following qualifications:

  1. Graduate in Education: A degree in Education or a related field is required.

OR

  1. Level 5 Qualification in Teaching and Education: A Level 5 qualification in Teaching and Education, such as a Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training (DET), is required.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Experience supporting pupils in Key Stage 2, with a focus on Autism.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for education and helping pupils achieve their full potential.
  • Patience, empathy, and a nurturing attitude.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
