Here at Ortus Recruitment we are seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant or Teaching Assistant to join one of our vibrant Mainstream Primary Schools on a full time, long term basis, with an immediate start!

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• An enhanced child workforce DBS on the update service or be willing to process one through Ortus Recruitment – £52
• Two obtainable childcare relevant references
• A strong academic background, educated to degree level or equivalent (desired, not essential)

Requirements:

• Experience supporting children with either MST or SEN
• Experience supporting primary school children
• Confidence and ability to implement positive behaviour strategies, thereby removing barriers to learning
• Demonstrate resilience and a driven approach to support as a Pastoral Assistant

The school we are working with are seeking someone who can join their tightknit staff team as a Pastoral Support Assistant, supporting students across KS2 with their social, emotional and mental health.

Within this role you be required to work 1:1, supporting pupils in class and encouraging them to engage in learning where possible, using enrichment incentives and movement breaks to promote a positive attitude to working. You may also be required to work in small groups, taking pupils out of the class and leading reading sessions.
