SEN Teaching Assistant | Wembley | ASAP Start
Our team at Ortus Recruitment are dedicated to securing high-quality educators with long-term and full-time roles within Ofsted rated ‘Good‘ and ‘Outstanding‘ primary schools in their local area. We are currently looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to provide support in our client primary school in Brent.
The ideal candidate for this role will have prior experience of supporting SEN children and most importantly a passion for it. You will need to be able to build positive rapports with the children, provide an inclusive and safe environment for them to learn and effectively communicate with staff members, external practitioners and parents/carers. You will need to work on a 1:1 basis with SEN children as well as leading interventions in small groups to raise attainment. It is important to be patient and empathetic in order to build successful and positive rapports with the students.

What will you do?
- Prepare learning materials
- Lead subject interventions
- Adapt teaching support according to student’s needs
- Look after children’s physical, social and emotional welfare
- Create an interesting environment for students
- Keep records and attend review meetings
- Work with professionals such as speech and language therapists
