Ortus Recruitment is looking for a Behaviour Mentor to work with a child in KS2 in a mainstream school located in the diverse area of Wood Green, London Borough of Haringey. The school has great transport links both bus and train and is known for having a variety of restaurants close by.

The successful candidate will be supporting a child with Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH). This role is mainly 1:1 however, you will be required to also work with groups and help with interventions.

About the role:

• You will assist the classroom teacher with marking classwork, setting up displays and organising activities.
• Progress Monitoring: Make sure that you’re always keeping up to date with the students you’re working with, and interact with parents to make sure that your work is creating a positive impact.
• Working 1:1 with a child with SEMH
• Working with small groups and helping with interventions

Requirements:

• Must have 3-6 Months experience as a Behaviour Mentor
• Must be a patient individual and have a nurturing personality
• Team teach (preferred)
• A diligent individual
• Level 3 Qualification or higher
• Must be available full-time
• Must be strong in literacy and numeracy
