Job Summary:

· Start Date: Immediate

· Pay: £85 – £100 per day, PAYE – No hidden agency/umbrella company fees

· Role: Full time, Long term, Monday – Friday, 08:30 – 16:00

Here at Ortus Recruitment we are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join one of our thriving mainstream primary schools on a full time, long term basis, with a September start. The school is located in the London Borough of Southwark, Walworth and they are seeking someone who can come in and hit the ground running, by building a positive rapport with both staff and students.

Must Have:

· The successful candidate must have a clear Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service or be willing to process one through Ortus Recruitment – £52

· The successful candidate must have TWO obtainable childcare relevant references

· Must have a minimum grade C in GCSE English and Math

Requirements:

· The ideal candidate will have experience working alongside children ideally in a classroom, school based setting but we will also accept experience supporting children in a care, residential, school or social (coaching, nannying, tutoring) setting

· The ideal candidate will need to come in and be able to build a positive rapport with both staff and students to help maintain the positive working environment, as well as the diverse and inclusive learning environment

· You will need to be passionate about working with children and dedicated to developing their academic attainment

· You must have a ‘Can do’ attitude

· Must have a strong academic background, educated to degree level or equivalent (desired, not essential)

Your main responsibilities within this role will be to assist the Class Teacher in supporting a Year 3 class. You will be a General TA and you will be tasked with helping the children with work as well as following instructions from the teacher and undertaking administrative duties such as photocopying/laminating, updating display boards and marking work.
