SEN Teaching Assistant | Hayes
Ortus Recruitment are currently working close with an SEN Primary School dedicated to providing exceptional education and support for children with autism. Our commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment sets us apart as a center of excellence in autism education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with autism.
- Implement and adapt teaching strategies to accommodate the individual needs and learning styles of students.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other staff to create a supportive and engaging learning environment.
- Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students.
- Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere that encourages social and emotional development.
- Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to the teaching team and parents.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with children with autism.
- Hold a Level 3 Teaching Qualification or be Degree educated.
- Understanding of autism-specific teaching strategies and interventions.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting the unique needs of children with autism.
