Salary: £400.00-£475.00 per week, PAYE 

Ortus Recruitment is seeking an experienced and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our school in Blackheath. The school is located in a vibrant and diverse community and boasts a very welcoming and supportive Senior Leadership and staff team.

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant who has experience working with both mainstream and SEN learners in a school setting. As a Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting in the planning, preparation and delivery of activities and tasks as well as providing support to the pupils to help them complete said activities and tasks. You will be required to collaborate with teachers and other staff members to ensure the best possible learning environment for pupils.

We are looking for someone who is available long term, full time; Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 16:00.

Requirements:

• Must be available full time, long term
• Experience working with children is desirable but transferrable skills are also welcome

• A patient and motivating approach to teaching
• The ability to work well within a team but also able to work off of your own initiative
• Excellent time management and attendance
• An eager and enthusiastic approach to teaching/supporting pupils
