Ortus recruitment is closely working with mainstream primary school who seek an experienced Classroom Assistant to join their team. Our partnered mainstream primary school is based in Brixton, has a ‘Good’ Ofsted rating and have a friendly team of staff who are supporting and will make you feel very welcome and valued from day one. This role will be a full-time position (Monday to Friday, 08:30 am – 16:00 pm).

Previous experience with behaviour management in a school-based environment would be advantageous, but we still encourage applicants with relevant qualifications and experience working with children.

Requirements:

• A degree or relevant qualifications in Education, Maths, English, Sciences, Psychology, Drama, or Performing Arts or related field
• Strong understanding of working with children/ young people, e.g., Youth Work, Mentoring, Tutoring, Childcare, Voluntarily
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must be able to undergo a full Enhanced DBS check
