Job Summary:

· Immediate Start, ongoing throughout the academic year

· £90 – £100 per day PAYE

Here at Ortus Recruitment we are seeking a dedicated unqualified behaviour mentor to join one of our Ofsted rated ‘Outstanding’ schools, located in the London Borough of Southwark,Dulwich. This is an amazing opportunity which offers an opportunity for career progression as the school is willing to provide CPD courses and Teacher training.

Must have:

· A clear enhanced child workforce DBS on the update service or be willing to process one through Ortus Recruitment – £52

· A minimum of two obtainable childcare relevant references

Roles and Responsibilities:

· You will be required to work both 1:1 and in small groups with pupils across KS2 who have challenging behaviour

· You will need to implement individualised behaviour strategies to help the pupils engage in learning and maintain a positive attitude to work

· You will need to build a positive rapport with both staff and students

· You will be liaising with the class teacher, SENCO and parents/carers to provide feedback on pupil progress both behaviourally and academically

Requirements:

· A passion for working with children and supporting pupils with special educational needs

· Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships in and around the school

· Good communication skills, both verbal and written

· Resilience and the ability to remain calm under pressure

· An understanding of the challenges and behaviours that may be displayed by pupils

· A commitment to promoting an inclusive and positive learning environment
