SEN Teaching Assistant
The team at Ortus Recruitment work in collaboration with Primary/SEN schools and bring them together with individuals looking for opportunities in the education sector. We are dedicated to providing specialised and ongoing support to educators looking for full-time and long-term roles within schools in their local area. We work with a number of schools, all rated ‘Good‘ or ‘Outstanding‘ by Ofsted, with supportive senior leadership teams and opportunities for further career progression. We are currently looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to support SEN children in our client school in Finchley.
About the role:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, during the mornings you will support amongst of SEN children in Year 4 with a range of different needs. You will aid in their social, emotional and academic development by building positive relationships with them, creating activities and lessons that adhere to their different needs and abilities and managing behaviour. In the afternoons, you will work with a Year 1 girl with challenging behaviour and language difficulties. You will need to be able to effectively manage her behaviour by putting interventions and strategies in place to reduce challenging behaviours and you will need to aid in her communication and language development.
