SEN Teaching Assistant

ORTUS RECRUITMENT are looking for an experienced and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a child in Reception with ASC. He is non-verbal and requires someone who can be motivating and patient in order to support his speech and communication skills as well as aiding in his emotional and academic development.
Details about the role:
- Mon-Fri, 8:15am – 3:45pm
- No weekends, Term time
- Full time & Long-term
- £85 – £100 daily (PAYE)
- Potential to be placed on teacher training programme
- Generous referral scheme

The Requirements:
- Experience working with children who are non verbal
- Experience working with SEN children
- Knowledge of signing e.g. Makaton to communicate
- Knowledge of intensive interaction and TEACHH approaches to supporting children
- A creative and flexible approach to teaching
