ORTUS RECRUITMENT are liaising with an Ofsted rated ‘good‘ school in the dynamic and diverse area of Neasden, located in the London Borough of Brent.

The school is looking for a reliable and proactive individual to take on the fulfilling role as a Teaching Assistant supporting amongst a Year 5 class, with a focus on interventions and booster sessions for those with low attainment in literacy & numeracy.

This is the perfect opportunity for a Graduate looking to gain more experience within a school environment, with the potential to join the school’s Teacher Training programme, if deemed a suitable candidate.

Teaching Assistant Expectations:

• 3+ months classroom experience
• Experience leading core subject interventions
• Minimum 2:2 grade in relevant degree e.g. psychology or educational studies
• Strong literacy, numeracy and communication skills
• Good level of knowledge of the curriculum
• Must be able to provide: an enhanced DBS (or willing to apply for one), proof of Right to Work in the UK and 2 references

Teaching Assistant Job Details:

• Year 5 Teaching Assistant
• Immediate Start
• Long-term and full-time (Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm)
• Daily rate of £80 – £100 per day (PAYE)
• Located in Neasden, NW London
• Potential for career progression and teacher training in partnership with the school
