We are currently recruiting for a Year 3 SEN Teaching Assistant to join the team in a mainstream primary school in the London Borough of Ealing.

About the role:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be responsible for working on a 1:1 basis with a Year 3 pupil that has ASD. The pupil is very active and likes to run around, it will be your responsibility to maintain the pupil’s focus and set boundaries and manage behaviour effectively. It is very important to note, that due to the nature of the role, the successful individual will need to have the energy and patience to be up on their feet for the majority of the day and will most likely be expected to run around with the child, when he requires it.
The pupil also presents signs of emotional and social needs, therefore requires someone who is nurturing, patient and can help with their emotion regulation. The pupil is known to cry when feeling overwhelmed or tired and when he becomes emotional may sit on the floor and refuse to get up. The successful individual will be able to put interventions in place to manage his emotions effectively.
