As a Year 3 Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting the classroom teacher in implementing educational activities and lesson plans
• Providing one-on-one or small group interventions to students who need additional support
• Supporting students with special education needs, including working with individuals on the autism spectrum
• Helping create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
• Assisting in monitoring student progress and documenting observations
• Providing mentoring and guidance to students as needed
• Communicating regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and behaviour

Year 3 Teaching Assistant Expectations:

• Strong academic background
• SEN experience/Behaviour management experience
• Confidently lead interventions e.g. numeracy/literacy/reading
• Have a can-do attitude
• Ability to take initiative and be proactive
• 3+ months experience in a classroom setting
• Knowledge of the primary school curriculum
