Teaching Assistant – ASD/SEMH Specialist

Are you an experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in a mainstream primary school setting?
If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team at a well-regarded mainstream primary school in Wandsworth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils in Key Stage 2 (KS2) with ASD and SEMH/challenging behaviour.
- Assist in the implementation of individualized education plans and behaviour support strategies.
- Collaborate with the teaching team to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Foster positive relationships with pupils, promoting their social and emotional well-being.
Requirements:
- Recent Graduate
- Previous experience supporting children with ASD, SEMH, and challenging behaviour.
- Availability to start immediately.
- Possession of an in-date DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for a new DBS.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Have genuine passion for the supporting vulnerable pupils
- Available from Monday – Friday (08:30am – 16:00pm
