Job Description:

• Position: Graduate Teaching Assistant
• Location: London Borough of Brent
• Start date: Immediate
• Pay rate: £400 – £500 Weekly (PAYE)

Ortus Recruitment are looking to recruit a recent graduate who is proactive and reliable to take on the fulfilling role of Teaching Assistant in a mainstream, Ofsted rated ‘good’ school.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting in a KS2 class, leading literacy and numeracy interventions and working on a 1:1 basis with SEN children. You will also work alongside the classroom teacher to manage behaviour, liaise with parents, plan and prep lessons and keep the classroom organised.

The school is situated in the London Borough of Brent – a vibrant and multi-cultural area with an abundance of shops, cafes, restaurants and transportation links to ensure easy accessibility from door-to-door.

Teaching Assistant Expectations:

• 3+months classroom experience
• Minimum 2:2 grade in relevant degree e.g. psychology or educational studies
• Strong literacy, numeracy and communication skills
• Must be able to provide: an enhanced DBS (or willing to apply for one), proof of Right to Work in the UK and 2 references
