We are currently recruiting for a KS2 Teaching Assistant to join the team in a mainstream primary school in the London Borough of Camden.

They are looking for someone who is patient, passionate about education and will have a firm but fair approach.

As a KS2 Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will involve leading literacy and numeracy interventions in small groups with children that require extra support, you will need to tailor the intervention lessons to suit the children’s varying abilities, set targets and attain those targets.

You will also be expected to be a role model for pupils, help to create a positive learning environment and foster excellent behaviour. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a friendly and supportive environment and make a real difference to the children’s learning. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with young people, a good understanding of the national curriculum and strong communication skills.

The school is looking for a recent graduate of psychology, childhood studies, English, maths, performing arts or other relevant subject. Previous experience in a primary school setting is desirable, but not essential.

**Candidates must be able to commit to a long-term and full-time role (Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 3:30pm)**

KS2 Teaching Assistant Expectations:

• 3+ months experience in a classroom setting
