Position: SEN Primary Teaching Assistant Location: New Cross Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 – 16:30
Role Overview: In this self-fulfilling role as a SEN Primary Teaching Assistant, you’ll have the opportunity to provide dedicated support to students with special educational needs, particularly those with Autism and Speech and Language needs. Working across different classes spanning various key stages, you’ll assist the class teacher, provide 1:1 support, and support the entire class when needed. Additionally, you’ll play a vital role in fostering positive relationships with both students and parents, contributing to a welcoming and inclusive school atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support to students with SEN
- Assist the class teacher with various tasks
- Support the whole class as required
- Supervise and engage with students during break times
- Manage challenging behaviors effectively
- Build and maintain positive relationships with parents
