Unqualified Teaching Assistant
Ortus Recruitment is currently looking for a Full time Teaching Assistant with Primary School experience who can implement their knowledge and skills to support children with Special Educational Needs. You will need to confidently manage behaviour, aid social and emotional development and build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
The primary school is situated in Ealing Broadway, boasting a charming three-form entry setup and conveniently located just a stone’s throw from Ealing Broadway station. Surrounded by a plethora of shops, cafes, and restaurants, the area offers a vibrant atmosphere. Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:
– Assist the lead teacher in implementing educational activities and lesson plans
– Provide support to students with special needs, including those with autism
– Help create a safe and inclusive learning environment
– Assist with classroom management and behaviour management strategies
– Lead group interventions to raise attainment and support children with SEN
– Support students during transitions between activities and locations within the school
– Assist with maintaining a clean and organized classroom environment
Learning Support Assistant Expectations:
– Experience working with children, particularly those with special needs or autism
– Knowledge of early childhood development and educational practices
– Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
– Ability to work effectively as part of a team
– Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help children learn and grow
