Overview: Are you passionate about working in education and supporting SEN children, particularly those with Autism and Speech and Language needs? We have an exciting opportunity for a Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join a highly rated OFSTED school in East Dulwich. The role involves providing 1:1 support for an Autistic child in a Year 3 class. The school boasts a welcoming atmosphere and a supportive senior leadership team.

Duties Include:

• Providing 1:1 support for children
• Assisting the class teacher
• Supporting the whole class when needed
• Caring for and supervising children during break time
• Managing challenging behavior
• Fostering relationships with parents

Essential Skills:

• Genuine passion for supporting children with SEN
• Experience working with children with Autism/ADHD
• Natural enthusiasm for working with young children
• Ability to monitor and record a child’s progress
• Understanding of safeguarding children
• Positive, caring, energetic, can-do attitude
