Job Description: We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our Year 3 class. This role involves supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons, with a particular focus on children with Special Educational Needs (SEN). You will play a vital role in helping to create a positive learning environment where all children feel valued and supported.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the class teacher in preparing and delivering lessons.
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to children, including those with SEN.
- Implement and monitor Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with SEN.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Support students in their social and emotional development.
- Help with classroom management and organization.
- Accompany students on school trips and other activities as required.
- Work collaboratively with other staff members, including SEN coordinators and external professionals.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience working with primary school-aged children.
- Experience or interest in working with children with SEN.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) are desirable but not essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
