PMLD Teaching Assistant – Richmond

PMLD Teaching Assistant.

Location: Richmond.

Ortus recruitment are looking for a Teaching Assistant in the area of Richmond to work with children who have Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). You’ll have to adapt your learning and make sure that you’re able to support children who have difficulties with their learning. This position is a full-time, long-term role which means it has plenty of potential of becoming a permanent position.

In this role you’ll be supporting children with a wide range of difficulties including Down’s syndrome, Autism (ASC/ADC) and many more. This means you’ll need to be a very calm and patient induvial who is willing to work with children both 1:1 and in a classroom-based environment with several other children. Group activities are very important in these type of schools as it allows the children to socialise with each other and create bonds with others. The successful candidate is somebody who really enjoys a challenge and wants to make a difference to these children’s lives.
