Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers to support the learning and development of our pupils. This role is perfect for someone passionate about education and looking to make a positive impact in a primary school setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the class teacher in delivering high-quality lessons and activities.
• Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, helping them to understand and complete their work.
• Support the social and emotional development of students, promoting a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Help with the preparation of teaching materials and classroom resources.
• Assist in the assessment and monitoring of pupils’ progress.
• Supervise students during break times and other activities as required.
• Contribute to the overall ethos, work, and aims of the school.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
• Previous experience working with children, ideally within a school setting.
• A relevant qualification in education or childcare (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3 or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children’s learning.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
