Job Description:

Position: Special Needs Teaching Assistant
Location: Honor Oak
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Special Needs Teaching Assistant passionate about working in education and supporting SEN children, especially those with Autism and Speech and Language needs. You will primarily support a Year 3 autistic child on a 1:1 basis. The school is renowned for its supportive and friendly senior leadership team and a welcoming atmosphere conducive to growth for both learners and staff.

Duties:

• Providing 1:1 support to an autistic child in Year 3
• Assisting the class teacher
• Supporting the whole class when needed
• Supervising children during break time
• Managing challenging behaviour
• Building relationships with parents

Essential Skills:
