About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a Key Stage 2 student with additional needs. Based in Northolt, this role involves working closely with a child to encourage their learning and personal development in a caring and structured environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized support to a KS2 student, assisting with academic tasks and social-emotional development.
• Collaborate with the class teacher and SEN team to adapt resources and tailor lessons to meet the student’s needs.
• Implement targeted intervention strategies to engage the student and foster a positive learning experience.
• Track and monitor progress, sharing insights to inform the student’s IEP and goals.
• Create a nurturing learning environment, using positive behavior management techniques.

Requirements:

• Experience as a Teaching Assistant, preferably with KS2.
• SEN experience, especially in 1:1 support, is desirable.
• Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills.
• Ability to adapt and use creative strategies to engage students.
• Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3 or similar) are a plus.
