Here at Ortus Recruitment we are seeking someone to join one of our fantastic Mainstream Primary Schools on a full time basis, in a role that’s ongoing throughout the academic year. The school need someone who is able to start immediately and is passionate about supporting learners with special educational needs.

The ideal candidate for this role will be someone who has a strong academic background, educated to degree level would be desired but a minimum Grade C in GCSE English and Math. We are looking for someone who has a ‘Can do’ attitude and is dedicated to aiding the academic, emotional and social development of pupils. Ideally, the successful candidate will have some childcare based experience, either in care, residential, school or social settings.

Within this role, you will be required to work 1:1 with a pupil in a Year 2 mainstream class. You will need to sit with them in class and encourage them to engage in learning where possible. You will be working closely with the Class Teacher to plan and prepare differentiated work that suits the learners needs.
