Ortus Recruitment are liaising with an Ofsted-rated ‘Outstanding‘ Primary School who are looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join their KS1 team.

The school prides itself on its ethos and values, offering a nurturing approach and a culturally rich education regardless of background or ability.

It is a 5-form entry, mainstream Primary School which boasts a modern building with excellent facilities. It is well-located in a lovely, quiet area however the busy high street is within walking distance of a number of bus routes, parks, cafes and shops.

The SEN Teaching Assistant role:

The successful candidate will work on a 1:1 basis with a Year 2 child who has autism, offering academic support and promoting positive social and emotional development. The ideal individual will have a firm but fair approach to teaching, be assertive, calm and patient.
