Job information:

· Position: 1:1 Behaviour Support Worker

· Pay: £95 – £105 per day, PAYE – No hidden agency/umbrella company fees

· Location: Sydenham

· Role: Full time, Long term (Monday – Friday, 08:30 – 16:00)

Within this role the successful candidate will be tasked with assisting the Class Teacher in supporting a KS3 class which consists of 10 pupils from Year 7 and Year 8. You will be required to assist the pupils with their classwork, as well as maintaining positive behaviour within the classroom and ensuring pupils are engaging with work. You will be tasked with using incentives and enrichment activities to encourage positive behaviour in school, you will have to supervise pupils throughout the enrichment activities which include gaming rooms, stadium trips and sports camps. You will need to liaise with the Class Teacher, professionals (therapists) and parents/carers to ensure pupils are making positive progress and to provide feedback.

The requirements:

· You will need to have experience managing challenging behaviour, either in a care, residential, school or social setting

· You will need to be patient and resilient

· You need to have a kind and nurturing nature

· You need to be passionate about working alongside children and dedicated in aiding their development whilst at school

· You will need some knowledge of the British curriculum

· You need to be able to easily build a rapport with staff and pupils

· To be successful, you MUST have TWO obtainable childcare relevant references

· You MUST have a clear Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service or be willing to process one through Ortus Recruitment – £52
