Ortus Recruitment are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic 1:1 Global Delay Teaching Assistant to join a mainstream Primary School in the London Borough of Barnet.

The school is situated in a lovely location of Barnet with an abundance of shops, parks, cafes and transportation links within walking distance of the school as well as a library and a large shopping centre nearby.

The role:

The successful Teaching Assistant will assist the class teacher with behaviour management, marking work, lesson planning and liaising with parents, as well as supporting on a 1:1 basis with a child with Global Delay and lead small group interventions i.e. numeracy and literacy to engage children with the curriculum and raise attainment.

Main Expectations:

• 3+ months Primary school experience
• 3+ months working with SEN children
• Strong academic background – minimum 2:2 degree in relevant subject or Level 3 qualification
• Must be able to provide: an enhanced DBS (or willing to apply for one through Ortus Recruitment), proof of Right to Work in the UK and 2 references
