Ortus Recruitment is excited to partner with a well-established mainstream primary school in Wandsworth in their search for a dedicated 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to support a child with Autism and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs.

This pivotal role requires a compassionate, proactive individual with a strong background in supporting children with SEN, particularly those with Autism. The school is looking for someone experienced to begin immediately, bringing both knowledge and enthusiasm to help the child thrive.

Position Overview:

• Job Type: Full-Time, Immediate Start
• Contract Length: Ongoing, long-term role
• Location: Wandsworth
• Competitive Daily Rate PAYE (No Umbrella Companies/Hidden Deduction)
• Main Responsibilities: Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a child with ASD and SEMH needs. Tailor interventions and learning strategies to meet the individual needs of the child. Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCo to ensure inclusive educational practices.

About You:

• Graduate with experience in a similar role (desirable, not essential)
• A strong background in supporting children with ASC and SEMH is essential
• Resilient, empathetic, and proactive with a passion for helping children with additional learning needs. A playful, innovative, and focused approach is key to success in this role.
