A fantastic mainstream Primary School in Brixton is seeking an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in fostering the development of a delightful young student in a Reception classroom, providing essential support to enhance her learning and engagement within the school. We are looking for a proactive and committed Reception Teaching Assistant with a passion and drive for supporting young children in their learning journey.

About you and the role as a Teaching Assistant:

  • Have prior experience with primary-aged children.
  • Address individual and collective needs of the students.
  • Work alongside the classroom teacher, providing 1:1 support to a young girl in need during classroom activities and lessons.
  • The ideal candidate is someone who is bubbly, kind, dedicated, and can think on their feet.
  • Hold an up-to-date enhanced DBS.
  • Provide an up-to-date CV and references.

Requirements for Candidates:

  • Relevant experience as a Teaching Assistant, particularly in a primary school setting.
  • A genuine passion for supporting the learning and development of young children.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Ability to adapt and be flexible in a dynamic school environment.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding procedures.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or childcare would be advantageous.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive learning environment for all students.

Please note:

  • This is a Full-Time position starting in January 2024.
  • Working hours are from 8:30am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday.
