Job Description:

As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant with Ortus Recruitment, you will play a vital role in providing individualized support to students with SEN. You will work closely with schools, educational professionals, and students themselves to ensure a nurturing and inclusive learning environment in Wandsworth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one support to students with SEN, tailoring your approach to their unique needs and abilities.
• Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting the social and emotional development of students.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and other professionals to ensure each student’s progress and well-being.
• Monitor and track student progress and provide regular feedback to the educational team.
• Assist with personal care and other requirements as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of support provided and student progress.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working with students with SEN is highly desirable.
• Relevant qualifications in education or SEN support are a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with students with SEN.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
