1:1 Teaching Assistant
Ortus Recruitment currently seek an experienced 1:1 Teaching assistant to support a pupil with SEMH needs in a KS1 class. The 1:1 Teaching Assistant in a Primary School will be predominantly supporting a child with Social, Emotional and Mental Heath needs whilst also being present and supporting the rest of the class. The 1:1 Teaching Assistant will be working in a KS1 class so should be familiar with the KS1 National Curriculum. The successful candidate will need to be a nurturing and caring individual with strong behaviour management knowledge and experience of working with pupils with SEND. The most effective SEN Teaching Assistants 1:1 have excellent communication skills and have an interest and passion in supporting the day-today needs of all children.
Requirements
To be considered for the role of 1:1 (SEMH) Primary Teaching Assistant you will:
- Experience of working with primary school aged children
- Experience of working with pupils with SEND
- A passion for the progress of primary school pupils
- An ability to work as part of a team
