Ortus Recruitment is working with a fantastic mainstream primary school to find an enthusiastic and dedicated 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with SEND. The ideal candidate will be committed to making a positive impact on the child’s learning and development, both academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

• Confidently support a child with SEND in all aspects of the school day, including personal care where required.
• Work constructively and positively within the school team and alongside colleagues to create a supportive learning environment.
• Think creatively to adapt learning strategies and approaches that meet the unique needs of the child.
• Investigate and solve challenges, identifying opportunities for growth and development for the pupil.
• Promote the school’s core values of excellence, respect, courage, and perseverance in all aspects of the role.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Have experience working with children with SEND, preferably in a 1:1 support role.
• Be patient, caring, and compassionate with a strong belief in the potential of every child.
• Demonstrate a flexible approach to supporting learning, with the ability to think on your feet.
• Be a strong communicator who is able to work closely with both children and staff members.
• Show a commitment to continuous personal and professional development.
