Position: Behaviour Mentor Teaching Assistant | Immediate Start
Location: Seven Sisters, London Borough of Haringey
Schedule: Full-Time, Long-Term (Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4 PM)
Salary: £450 – £525 per week (PAYE, NO Umbrella Deductions) Depending on experience
Are you a proactive and energetic individual who enjoys working with children? Do you have a background in sports and want to use your skills to make a positive impact in education? We are looking for a motivated Learning Support Assistant to join our client, a mainstream primary school in Haringey, London.
This is a fantastic opportunity to combine your passion for special educational needs (SEN) and physical activity while supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and speech and language needs.
About the Role:
- ASD Experience Required: You’ll work closely with three children who have ASD and speech and language needs, providing both one-to-one and three-to-one support as needed.
- Primary School Experience Preferred: Experience working in a mainstream primary school is desirable, but if you are adaptable and eager to learn, we’d love to hear from you.
- Sports Background: If you have experience in sports coaching or physical activities, you’ll use your skills to engage students in ways that boost their confidence, teamwork, and physical health.
- Year 3 Focus: Provide tailored support to a Year 3 pupil with ASD, helping them succeed both in the classroom and during physical activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and three-to-one support to children with ASD, focusing on speech and language development and helping them thrive in the classroom.
- Assist students across Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2) with tailored learning strategies.
- Use sports and physical activities to engage pupils, promote teamwork, and support their emotional and social development.
- Work alongside teachers and specialists to create an inclusive, positive learning environment.
