Job Title: Primary Teaching Assistant

Salary: £85 – £95 per day (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time, Term-time only

Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with class teachers to support pupils’ learning in the classroom, providing tailored assistance where necessary.
- Support children with their academic and personal development, helping to build their confidence and independence.
- Assist in planning and delivering engaging lessons and activities for pupils.
- Provide 1:1 or small group support to students who require additional assistance, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
- Help with the preparation of classroom materials and resources.
- Contribute to maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Support pupils with behaviour management, ensuring they remain focused and engaged in lessons.
- Assist with lunchtime and playground duties to ensure the safety and well-being of all pupils.
- Maintain strong communication with teachers, parents, and other staff members to monitor pupil progress and address any concerns.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, ideally within a primary school setting.
- Knowledge or experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable.
- A patient, compassionate, and proactive attitude towards helping children achieve their potential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Good understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, or equivalent) are an advantage but not essential.
- A commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and supporting the holistic development of young learners.
