A school in New Malden are looking for an enthusiastic teaching assistant, who are highly experienced with working with children in a classroom and one to one. The chosen candidate will need the ability to work in a dynamic environment, and able to deal with change, seen as each day will be different. What will job role include ?

You will be working alongside highly educated teachers, helping them prepare and plan lessons in a creative way which will keep the students engaged throughout the day. Preparing the lesson means handing out workbooks, worksheets, and equipment so that the student have everything ready for the day. Some students within the class, will have difficulty with certain parts of their education, such a there numeracy and literacy skills, therefore you will be working closely with them to offer support by breaking down the lessons to them. As well as supporting them within the classroom, you will be making sure that there emotional, social and physical needs are met out of the classroom. For example if a student is upset, you should have the ability to listen to their problems and help them solve it in an appropriate manner.

• Ability to build strong relationships with the students so they feel comfortable talking to you.
