A welcoming primary school in Croydon is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work one-to-one with a Year 5 pupil with ADHD, providing structured support to help them engage with learning and manage their emotions.
The Role:
- Support a Year 5 pupil with ADHD in both classroom and one-to-one settings.
- Implement strategies to improve focus, organisation, and self-regulation.
- Encourage positive social interactions and build confidence.
- Work closely with the SENCO and class teacher to adapt learning activities.
- Use reward systems and de-escalation techniques to promote engagement.
About You:
- Experience working with children with ADHD or behavioural needs.
- Understanding of behaviour management strategies and emotional regulation.
- A patient, consistent, and proactive approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
