A welcoming primary school in Croydon is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work one-to-one with a Year 5 pupil with ADHD, providing structured support to help them engage with learning and manage their emotions.

The Role:

• Support a Year 5 pupil with ADHD in both classroom and one-to-one settings.
• Implement strategies to improve focus, organisation, and self-regulation.
• Encourage positive social interactions and build confidence.
• Work closely with the SENCO and class teacher to adapt learning activities.
• Use reward systems and de-escalation techniques to promote engagement.

About You:

• Experience working with children with ADHD or behavioural needs.
• Understanding of behaviour management strategies and emotional regulation.
• A patient, consistent, and proactive approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
