ASC Teaching Assistant | Balham | £80 – £90 PAYE | Full Time | Immediate Start

Ortus Recruitment are seeking a Teaching Assistant who is passionate about working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) to join our partnered mainstream primary school based in Balham. This role involves providing support 1:1 with a year 1 pupil with ASC in their academic and social activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing one-to-one support for the child with ASC in their academic studies.
• Supporting the child in their social activities, including facilitating communication and interactions with peers.
• Creating and implementing individualized plans to meet the specific needs of the student with ASC.
• Monitoring and tracking progress the child and communicating with their parents/guardians, teachers, and other relevant staff.
• Assisting with the development of strategies and accommodations to support the learning and success
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation of student progress and interventions.

Qualifications:

• Graduate (degree program related to education, psychology, or a related field).
• Experience working with individuals with ASC is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
