Ortus Recruitment are recruiting a resilient, assertive and patient Teaching Assistant who has experience working with children with SEN specifically autism.

The role:

The role will require you to work on a 1:1 basis with an autistic child to aid in their social, emotional and acedemic development. You will need to be compassionate, reliable and flexible in order to build a positive rapport with the child and promote a safe and inclusive enviroment for the child to thrive.

Main expectations:

• 3+ months experience supporting children with SEN
• Minimum 2:2 degree in a relevant subject e.g. psychology or education or Level 3 qualification
• Strong numeracy, literacy and communication skills
• Knowledge of the curriculum
• Must be able to provide: an enhanced DBS (or willing to apply for one through Ortus Recruitment), proof of Right to Work in the UK and 2 references
