The Role:
As an Autism Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with pupils, helping them develop essential skills for academic and social success in a supportive, structured environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one and small group support tailored to the needs of pupils with ASC.
• Use strategies such as visual schedules, PECs, and sensory integration activities to aid learning and engagement.
• Promote positive social interactions and help pupils develop emotional regulation skills.
• Collaborate with teachers and therapists to implement and review personalised support plans.
• Assist in creating a calm and structured classroom environment.

About You:

• Experience working with children with ASC, ideally in a school or similar setting.
• Understanding of autism-friendly strategies and tools like PECs and Makaton.
• Patient, adaptable, and committed to promoting inclusion.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to teamwork.
