Position: KS1 Teaching Assistant
Location: Willesden, London Borough of Brent
Schedule: Full-Time, Long-Term (Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM)
Salary: £425 – £525 per week (PAYE, NO Umbrella Deductions) Depending on experience
Our client, a well-established mainstream primary school in Brent Wilsden, is looking for a Behaviour Mentor to support KS1 pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and challenging behaviour. Join a supportive team of three other mentors to help these children thrive both academically and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and group support to KS1 pupils with SEMH and behaviour needs, ensuring their individual requirements are met.
- Collaborate with a team of Behaviour Mentors to create a positive, structured, and inclusive learning environment.
- Assist in managing behaviour and promoting social and emotional development through personalised plans.
- Help implement behaviour management strategies tailored to individual learning plans.
Key Requirements:
- DBS on the Update Service (essential).
- Experience working with children with SEN, specifically in behaviour management and SEMH.
- At least 3-6 months of experience working in a primary school or similar childcare setting.
- Proactive and enthusiastic about supporting children with behavioural needs.
- Strong team player, able to collaborate effectively with others.
