Position: Behaviour Mentor
Location: Hanwell
Schedule: Full-Time, Long-Term (Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 3:30 PM)
Salary: £425 – £525 per week (PAYE, NO Umbrella Deductions) Depending on experience

Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs?

We are seeking an experienced Behaviour Mentor with a strong interest in sports to work one-on-one with a Year 3 child who has Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The child is currently working at a Reception level, and your role will be crucial in supporting their academic, social, and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support for a Year 3 child working at a Reception level
  • Assist in managing ASD and SEMH needs, ensuring the child’s overall well-being
  • Incorporate sports and physical activities into mentoring sessions to promote engagement
  • Work closely with the school’s SEN team to develop and implement strategies that meet the child’s individual needs
  • Create a nurturing and structured environment to encourage positive behaviour and learning
  • Track progress and adapt your approach to best support the child’s growth

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with ASD and SEMH needs (essential)
  • A background or strong interest in sports (desirable)
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a supportive team
