Behaviour Mentor

We are currently seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to provide 1:1 support at a primary school in Brixton, starting after the half-term break.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain invaluable experience supporting children’s development while working closely with a team of experienced practitioners who will guide and support you throughout the role.
Role Responsibilities:
- Providing tailored 1:1 support to a child with behavioural difficulties, SEN, and SEMH needs.
- Developing and implementing learning programmes focused on the child’s individual needs.
- Using de-escalation strategies to manage challenging behaviour.
- Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils, their families, and other staff members.
- Enforcing consistent boundaries and maintaining a patient, resilient, and fair approach.
Key Requirements:
- Prior experience working with children presenting behavioural or SEMH needs.
- Knowledge of behaviour theory and strategies for supporting children with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
- Patience, resilience, and the ability to maintain consistency in managing behaviour.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other staff, including another Learning Support Assistant.

- £85 – £105 daily rate (PAYE, no umbrella company fees).
- Temp to Perm if you perform well at placement (Partnered schools discretion)
