Behaviour Mentor
Job Title: Behaviour Mentor – Primary School (Sports/Youth Work Background Ideal)
Location: Queen’s Park, London
Job Type: Full-time, Term-time only
Salary: £95–£110 per day (depending on experience)
Job Summary
We are currently recruiting for a Behaviour Mentor to join a supportive and forward-thinking primary school located in Queen’s Park. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in sports coaching or youth mentoring who is passionate about supporting young people and making a positive impact in education.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with behavioural and emotional needs
- Use active engagement strategies (e.g., sports, movement) to promote positive behaviour
- Work alongside teaching and pastoral staff to implement behaviour support plans
- Act as a positive role model and mentor for pupils
- Help students develop confidence, focus, and coping strategies in and out of the classroom
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children or young people (sports, youth work, schools)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage challenging behaviour calmly and effectively
- Passion for helping young learners thrive emotionally, socially, and academically
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
Desirable
- Sports coaching qualifications or youth work certification
- Experience in a school or alternative provision setting
- Interest in education, psychology, or child development
