Ortus recruitment are seeking for an enthusiastic and experienced Behaviour Mentor to work with our partnered school based in the Tooting area. This is a rewarding role as you will be an important addition to the team and will act as a positive role model for the pupils.

Main Duties:

• Support teaching and learning
• Support the class teacher
• Working 1:1 with Challenging Behaviour
• Assist with the preparation of the learning environment
• Plan learning activities with the class teacher
• Liaise with the teachers, Inclusion Manager and parents, carry out observations and report writing
• Assist with the development of pupils in literacy, numeracy and other aspects of the National Curriculum

Requirements:

• Graduate of a core subject (Maths, English, Science, Psychology, Drama)
• Experience working with children in a professional environment
• Experience working with SEMH(desirable)
• Able to develop positive relationships
• Excellent time management and organisation skills
• Able to stay calm and objective when presented with unusual or challenging behaviour
