Behaviour Mentor
Ortus recruitment are seeking for an enthusiastic and experienced Behaviour Mentor to work with our partnered school based in the Tooting area. This is a rewarding role as you will be an important addition to the team and will act as a positive role model for the pupils.
Main Duties:
- Support teaching and learning
- Support the class teacher
- Working 1:1 with Challenging Behaviour
- Assist with the preparation of the learning environment
- Plan learning activities with the class teacher
- Liaise with the teachers, Inclusion Manager and parents, carry out observations and report writing
- Assist with the development of pupils in literacy, numeracy and other aspects of the National Curriculum
Requirements:
- Graduate of a core subject (Maths, English, Science, Psychology, Drama)
- Experience working with children in a professional environment
- Experience working with SEMH(desirable)
- Able to develop positive relationships
- Excellent time management and organisation skills
- Able to stay calm and objective when presented with unusual or challenging behaviour
