Behaviour mentor KS1/KS2 | Immediate start | Haringey

Ortus Recruitment is seeking a dedicated behaviour mentor to join one of our Ofsted-rated ‘Outstanding’ schools in the London Borough of Haringey. The school is a mainstream school that has dedicated staff and cannot wait to welcome member to join their team.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Able to work both 1:1 and in small groups with pupils across KS2/KS1 who have challenging behaviour
• Implement individualised behaviour strategies to help the pupils engage in learning and maintain a positive attitude to work
• Need to build a positive rapport with both staff and students
• Working with the class teacher, SENCO and parents/carers to provide feedback on pupil progress both behaviourally and academically

Requirements:

• A passion for working with children and supporting pupils with special educational needs
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships in and around the school
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
• An understanding of the challenges and behaviours that may be displayed by pupils
• 3-6 Months experience
• A good understanding of the UK curriculum
• Enhanced DBS
• MUST BE ABLE TO WORK MONDAY TO FRIDAY

-* £85 – £100 per day PAYE*
