Ortus Recruitment is in search of a dedicated Behavior Mentor to join our team in Merton. This is an exciting opportunity to work with students in a diverse and dynamic educational setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with teaching staff to develop and implement behavior management strategies tailored to the unique needs of individual students.
• Provide one-on-one support to students who require assistance in managing their behavior and emotional well-being.
• Cultivate a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Establish strong and supportive relationships with students, parents, and school staff.
• Assist in the organization and maintenance of resources and materials to facilitate effective behavior interventions.
• Monitor and report on students’ progress and well-being.
• Work collaboratively with the school’s staff to implement behavior improvement plans and interventions.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Previous experience as a Behavior Mentor is preferred but not essential.
• A genuine passion for helping students develop positive behavior patterns.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience and empathy when working with students facing behavior challenges.
• Familiarity with various behavior management techniques and strategies.
• Relevant qualifications in behavior management or education support are a plus.
• DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain one).
