Ortus Recruitment is on the lookout for a dedicated Behavior Mentor to join our team in Merton. Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with teaching staff to design and implement behavior management strategies customized to meet the specific needs of individual students.
• Provide one-on-one support to students who need assistance in managing their behavior and emotional well-being.
• Cultivate a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere.
• Forge strong and supportive connections with students, parents, and school staff.
• Aid in the organization and upkeep of resources and materials to facilitate effective behavior interventions.
• Monitor and report on students’ progress and well-being.
• Work in synergy with the school’s staff to execute behavior enhancement plans and interventions.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Prior experience as a Behavior Mentor is preferred but not mandatory.
• A genuine enthusiasm for helping students develop positive behavioral patterns.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated patience and empathy when dealing with students who confront behavior-related challenges.
• Familiarity with diverse behavior management techniques and strategies.
• Relevant qualifications in behavior management or education support are advantageous.
• Possession of a DBS clearance (or a willingness to obtain one).
