Ortus Recruitment are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Behaviour Mentor to commit to a full time – long term role in a mainstream primary school in North Cheam. The ideal candidate should have experience working with children in an professional setting, specifically children with challenging behaviour. You should also have a full enhanced DBS, or willing to process one through Ortus Recruitment (£52).

Within this role:

•  To facilitate, where appropriate, extra-curricular activities to engage and motivate students.
•  To support the inclusive ethos of the school.
• To monitor, record and review progress of individual students and to share information with relevant staff and parents / carers
• To provide information advice and guidance to specific students and their parents/carers.

The ideal candidate:

• Be able to start immediately, and can commit to Full time, Long term work (Monday – Friday, 08:30 – 16:00).
•  Will have experience managing challenging behaviour with children, either in a care, school or social setting.
• Will be eager and enthusiastic in beginning a rewarding new career in education and open to Teacher Training and CPD courses to upskill candidates and open doors for career progression
• Will be able to easily build a rapport with children and staff
•  Will be able to ensure and maintain a safe working environment for children
